Overview

What Sets Our Leadership Program Apart

Upon selection for the Collective Leadership Initiative (CLI), participants embark on an immersive learning journey spanning several months.  After completion of the formal leadership development program, participants remain members of the CLI community, and continue to engage and collaborate with one another through a variety of ongoing events and activities sponsored by the program.

All programs provide facilitated learning sessions, experientials, leadership and personality assessments, moderated discussions, mentoring, peer coaching, connecting and social activities, and resilience activities.

All participants have access to community mentors who provide ongoing support and share their expertise related to challenges and projects. The mentors provide individual and group mentorship, and are existing members of the CLI community who are senior leaders, and completely devoted to expanding the collective wisdom of the entire health equity community.

Throughout the program journey, participants work on real-time, hands-on leadership challenges or projects related to health equity issues. They collaborate with peer groups and project teams to develop strategies and actions to address these challenges.

  • Increasing core knowledge

  • Building collective leadership capabilities

  • Revising organizational structures in grassroots organizations

  • Developing collective efficacy across communities

  • Transforming individual and organizational networks

  • Expanding community power to directly influence health equity

Program Objectives

  • Understand, prioritize, and advance health and health equity

  • Work collaboratively and across boundaries to build capacity, connections, and social capital

  • Generate solutions to address the most pressing health equity challenges

Program Outcomes

While there is no out of pocket cost to participate, we do expect participants to dedicate their time to fully engage in the program.
