Partnering for Better Health

FAQs

How much does it cost?

This leadership development program is provided at no cost, as it is fully funded by The Colorado Health Foundation. All of the fees associated with participating are paid for by the Foundation.  Additionally, as a participant, all expenses associated with participating (transportation, lodging, meals, program materials, language services, accessibility services) will be provided up-front or reimbursed afterwards.

Who should apply?

Any individual who serves as a community leader in health or health equity in Colorado is eligible and encouraged to apply. This includes members of organizations, involved students, and community advocates.

These programs aim to increase access to leadership development, specifically for members of underrepresented groups across Colorado.  Therefore, preference will be given to individuals who are members of underrepresented or historically ignored or excluded groups in Colorado.

Do I have to currently live in Colorado?

Yes, all programs require current residency in Colorado to participate.

Are translation services available?

We offer interpretation and translation services for Spanish through the Community Language Cooperative for many of our programs and activities. Our goal is to make the content as accessible as possible.

How many applications will be accepted?

Each program has room for 16 participants with the exception of the MyTime virtual program, which allows for 24 participants.  You may only apply for one program so please carefully consider the options. Applications will be reviewed by The Colorado Health Foundation, and you will be notified once the decisions are made.

When is the program?

All programs have a unique start day with the first program starting in February.  For all of the key dates related to your chosen program, please review the individual program description.

What is the time commitment like?

Each program has a custom schedule of events, assignments, and activities, which include orientations, learning sessions, action learning or key leadership projects, and community partner sessions.

What else might I expect?

As a participant, you will gain new relationships, find support, experience deep conversations, and be inspired. You will gain confidence as a leader while contributing to health equity efforts across the state.
